William R. Fairchild International Airport

William R. Fairchild International Airport, located at latitude 48 degrees north and 123 degrees west, is the largest airport on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington in USA. The airport is 75 years of age out of which the Port of Port Angeles is operating the airport for the last 50 years. The airport renders to passenger and cargo transportation, emergency rescue services, disaster responds and jobs to thousands.
The airport is spread across an area of 800 acres. It has two runways of which the primary one (8/26 6,300 feet long and 150 feet wide) can handle load up to 115,000 pounds.
The airport came into operation in 1933 and was developed by the Army, the Navy and the Works Progress Administration. The airport was named after Bill Fairchild who was the first airport supervisor to the Port of Port Angeles.

The Kenmore airlines and the Rite Bros. Aviation are the two main airlines operating from the region. While Kenmore handles seven rounds of trips daily between Port Angeles and Seattle’s Boeing Field, the Rite Bros mainly caters for charter flights. The Rite Bros flies on demand only.

The William R. Fairchild International Airport offers many facilities and services for both commercial and private airlines owners. Weiler Aviation and Rite Bros. Aviation provides maintenance support and performs annual inspection on all aircrafts viz. jets, helicopters and private aircrafts.

Rite Bros. Aviation provides fuel to all the airlines operating in and out of Fairchild.

Rite Bros. Aviation runs an aviation school in Fairchild with the help of its skilled training staffs.

The terminal of Fairchild is spread across 5,000 square foot area that includes airline operations, ticket counters, baggage claim, café, gift shop and a car-rental office.
