Cat Tales Conservation Park



The Cat Tales Conservation Park was established in early 1991 by Mike and Debbie Wyche. After being registered with the Secretary of State of Washington as a Non profit Organization, the Cat Tales Conservation Park concentrated on its development. The park has now been licensed as a Class-C-Exhibition, a rank held by almost all zoos of the country. The organization began its journey with a collection of four animals of the cat family. Over the years, the collection be increased. Presently, the Cat Tales Conservation Park houses about 42 big cats, 2 bears, 3 parrots, 2 Snakes, 2 Lizards, 1 Raptor, 2 Hamsters, 3 Goats, 1 Rabbit, 2 Ferrets, 4 Dogs, 2 Geese, 5 Ducks, 10 Chickens, and 6 Domestic Cats.



The mission of the Cat Tales Conservation Park is to promote the welfare of all living species through dedicated service, conservation and educational programs. Educational programs, facilitating the preservation of wild life is one of the major programs undertaken by the Cat Tales Conservation Park. Along with USDA, the state wildlife agency, the Cat Tales Conservation Park takes part in several rescue operation and relocation of animals.



The Cat Tales Conservation Park boasts of being the cleanest zoo in the world. On a visit to the zoo, all the cages you find will reinforce this opinion of the zoo keepers. A unique program held by the Cat Tales Conservation Park , is 'adopt an animal program'. All the animals in the zoo can be adopted for a year. There are North American Pumas, Bengal tigers and tigresses, Canadian lynx, Asian and North Chinese Leopards, Barbary Lions, Leaping cats, South American lack Jaguars, Black Bears, singing dogs, pythons, corn snakes and several such species of animals,m which are available for adoption. During the adoption, the animals remains within the zoo. The person adopting the animals needs to provide for the food and vaccination of the animal. The adopter is given recognition in the form of a plaque which is hanged infront of the cage of the animal.

The Cat Tales Conservation Park authorities has also arranged for a zoo school which is the only if its kind where students learn about taking care of animals and zoo operations.
