In the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium you can witness the best of both worlds. Whether you ;love the aquatic world or the avian, you can experience it all at this unique organization. Several programs are undertaken by the zoo authorities to acquaint the visitors with the wonders of the wild life that the zoo possesses.
The exhibits of the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium are:
- The Asian Forest Sanctuary – Eight vulnerable and almost extinct varieties of animals are present in this section of the zoo. The exhibits here are kept in a setting of a forest spread across several acres. The animals present in this section are, Sumatran tigers, Siamangs, white cheeked gibbons, lowland anoas, Malayan Tapirs, Asian otters, Crested porcupines and Asian Elephants.
- Animal Presentation - Regular programs of animal presentations are held at the zoo by the zoo keepers. They talk about the details about the habits and habitat of an animal. Live presentation of birds and other animals are conducted regularly to make your tour more intriguing.

Seahorse exhibit – A special story named, “Once upon a Tide”, is narrated daily which talks about the aquatic creatures living in the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, like, the angelfish, trumpet fish and sea horses.
- Conservation Programs – Visitors are guided on conservation programs which the zoo undertakes. Conservation of the Red Wolf, Asian Elephants and Clouded leopards are regular programs on which the zoo concentrates.
- Visitor Services – Visitors are provided with umbrellas and wheelchairs. They can also access several picnic spots. There are a few cafes for the refreshment of the visitors.
