Mount Rainier National Park

Mount Rainier National Park is one of the popular national parks in Washington. It is located in the southeastern part of the Pierce country. It was founded in the year 1889 and is ranked as the fifth best national park in the United States. The exciting events, the interesting shows and the rides constitute together the elegance of Mount Rainier National Park. The amazing natural surroundings mark the beauty of the Mount Rainier National Park.

The major portion of the park, conserved as wilderness, is registered under the National Wilderness Preservation System. The Mount Rainier National Park was considered a National Historic Landmark in the year 1997. It represented the architectural style of he National Park Service Rustic that made them quite popular. The Mount Rainier National Park was also registered under the National Register of Historic Places.

Some of the major attractions of the Mount Rainier National Park are as follows:
  • Paradise – It is one of the popular attraction sites of the park. Paradise is the most beautiful pace within the park. Tourists love to enjoy the snowfall that marks the main feature of Paradise in this national park.
  • Longmire – This is a very beautiful place in the park, which is entirely surrounded by red cedars and coniferous trees. Huge number of tourists flock to Longmire in the Mount Rainier National Park every year.
  • Sunrise – It is also a popular visitor center in Mount Rainier National Park that is located in the Park's northeastern part.
